A NOTE FROM SJR

Have you ever sat and thought through the role of awe in our lives? It’s a deeply heady and wondrous experience that moves us from the tangible things our mind can conceive and into the wonder of what exists way beyond it. Awe draws me close to the intimate spaces I share with God; when I know His divinity because I feel a thing beyond my grasp, outside of myself and above the capacity of my words. I know awe when I feel the way my heart turns and softens to the ones I love dearest and how, even at the worst of moments, they are the immediate recipients of my care and devotion.

I love awe for the way it keeps me open to seeing, knowing and experiencing a world outside of what I can imagine. I am grateful for the awe that comes with the unknown because it affirms the faith that grounds and sustains me.

Awe is a gift. Wouldn’t you agree?

This month, we’ll experience the awe of redemption through a beautiful journey of a Queen; one who was unlikely and for long, unseen. And, if you know anything about how we read, press, and pray for anything around W.E., you know it’s always in the direction of our women coming out of the shadows and into their Heaven-granted authority. So this story? It’s DEF our jam.

Vanessa Miller took a based-on-true-life event  and created something so beautiful; a journey that takes us through the dark corners of despair and into the awe-worthy ascent to redemption. I know you’ll enjoy seeing it all unfold. Vanessa is a gifted storyteller and accomplished best-selling author, playwright, and motivational speaker. With more than 50 Christian books on her resume, she’s mastered the art of sharing the gospel in unsuspecting places. She’s a gem, for sure.

And, if I know anything about you, your belief and your presence here, I know you are too. And as you’re here, with us and a part of this community, I hope the awe of that glorious luminance never wavers.
